Toradol Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Toradol, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is used to treat moderately severe, acute pain.

Toradol Dosage

  • For adults, the usual starting dose is 20 milligrams and then 1 tablet (10 milligrams) every 4 to 6 hours.
  • For children under 16, the doctor may prescribe a single dose of Toradol, by intravenous or intramuscular injection, after an operation.

Side Effects of Toradol

Before taken Toradol medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Toradol. Side effects may include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Stomach and intestinal pain

Warnings and precautions before taking Toradol:

  • If you are taking Toradol, then it may cause peptic ulcers and bleeding. So you should contact your doctor immediately if you suspect a problem.
  • If you are an older adult, then you should be used Toradol with cautiously.

Drug Interaction :-

  • Blood thinners such as Coumadin
  • Lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid)
  • Major tranquilizers such as Navane
  • Probenecid
  • Tranquilizers such as Xanax
  • Water pills such as Lasix and Dyazide

After taken Toradol if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Toradol overdose include:

  • Drowsiness
  • Stomach pain
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
