Terazol Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Terazol is used to treat candidiasis such as yeast-like fungal infection of the vulva and vagina.

Terazol Dosage

  • For adulst, the usual starting dose is 1 full applicator of cream inserted into the vagina once daily at bedtime.
  • Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children.

Side Effects of Terazol

Before taken Terazol medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Terazol. Side effects may include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Body pain
  • Genital pain or irritation
  • Headache
  • Menstrual pain

Warnings and precautions before taking Terazol:

  • If irritation, an allergic reaction, fever, chills, or flu-like symptoms develop while you are using Terazol, then you should notify your doctor.
  • To avoid re-infection while you are using Terazol, then you should avoid sexual intercourse.
  • If you are using Terazol, then 3 suppositories can interact with latex products such as diaphragms and certain type of condoms. So you should be used some other method of birth control while you are using Terazol.

Drug Interaction :-

No interactions have been reported. But if you are taking Terazol with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Terazol with other drugs.


There has been no reported overdose of Terazol. But after taken Terazol if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect.
