Side Effects of Surmontil

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Surmontil with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Surmontil with the following:

  • Antidepressants such as Desyrel and Wellbutrin
  • Cimetidine (Tagamet)
  • Drugs for heart irregularities, such as Rythmol and Tambocor
  • Guanethidine (Ismelin)
  • Local decongestants such as Dristan Nasal Spray
  • Major tranquilizers such as Thorazine and Mellaril
  • Quinidine
  • Stimulants such as Proventil, Sudafed, and EpiPen
  • Thyroid medications such as Synthroid

After taken Surmontil if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Surmontil overdose include:

  • Agitation
  • Coma
  • Dilated pupils
  • Hallucinations
  • Irregular heart rate
  • Low body temperature
  • Muscle rigidity
  • Overactive reflexes
  • Severely low blood pressure
