Robaxin Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Robaxin is used, along with rest, physical therapy, and other measures, for the treatment of pain due to severe muscular injuries, sprains, and strains.

Robaxin Dosage

  • If you are taking Robaxinm, then the usual starting dose is 3 tablets taken 4 times a day.
  • If you are using Robaxin-750, then the usual starting dose is 2 tablets taken 4 times a day.

Uses of Robaxin

  • It is used to treats pain that may be occur due to severe muscular injuries, sprains, and strains.

Side Effects of Robaxin

Before taken Robaxin medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Robaxin. Side effects may include:

  • Abnormal taste
  • Blurred vision
  • Confusion
  • Double vision
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Indigestion
  • Light-headedness

Warnings and precautions before taking Robaxin:

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Robaxin with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Robaxin with the following:

  • Alcohol
  • Drugs for myasthenia gravis, including Mestinon, Prostigmin, and Tensilon
  • Narcotic pain relievers such as Percocet and Tylenol with Codeine
  • Sleep aids such as Halcion and Seconal
  • Tranquilizers such as Xanax and Valium

After taken Robaxin if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Robaxin overdose include:

  • Blurred vision
  • Coma
  • Drowsiness
  • Low blood pressure
  • Nausea
  • Seizures
