Ridaura Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Ridaura is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It is recommended only for people who have not been helped sufficiently by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Anaprox, Dolobid, Indocin, ibuprofen, and others.

Ridaura Dosage

  • The usual starting dosage of Ridaura is 6 milligrams daily in a single dose or divided into 2 smaller doses.

Uses of Ridaura

  • It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Side Effects of Ridaura

Before taken Ridaura medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Ridaura. Side effects may include:

  • Loose stools or diarrhea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Gas
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea

Warnings and precautions before taking Ridaura:

  • If you have any of the following conditions such as History of a bone marrow abnormality, Inflammatory bowel disease, Kidney disease, Liver disease, and Skin rash, then you should tell your doctor while you are taking this medication.
  • Like other medications containing gold, Ridaura may cause serious blood abnormalities. So you should tell your doctor if you develop any symptoms.
  • If you are taking Gold compounds, then it may cause your skin to become more sensitive to sunlight. So you may need to limit your exposure to the sun and wear a sunscreen.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Ridaura with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Ridaura with the following:

  • Penicillamine
  • Phenytoin

After taken Ridaura if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Ridaura overdose is unknown.
