Migranal Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Migranal Nasal Spray is used for the treatment of migraine headache attacks. It constricts the blood vessels, and may defeat migraine through this action.

Migranal Dosage

  • You should be used one spray in each nostril followed by another spray in each nostril 15 minutes later for a total of 4 sprays.
  • You should not use more than 3 milligrams in 24 hours or 4 milligrams in 7 days.

  • It is used for the treatment of migraine headache attacks.

Side Effects of Migranal

Before taken Migranal medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Migranal. Side effects may include:

  • Altered sense of taste
  • Dizziness
  • Nasal inflammation
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting

Warnings and precautions before taking Migranal:

  • If you have heart disease, then Migranal could trigger a serious problem. Risk factors for this disorder such as high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, and passing menopause.
  • You should be used it with extra caution if you have circulation problems in your arms, legs, fingers, or toes.
  • You should also used it cautiously, if you are being treated for high blood pressure.
  • You should tell your doctor immediately if you have any of the following side effects such as pain in the arms and legs, numbness or tingling in your fingers or toes.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Migranal with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Migranal with the following:

  • Azithromycin
  • Clarithromycin
  • Erythromycin
  • Nicotine
  • Pseudoephedrine
  • Troleandomycin

After taken Migranal if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Migranal overdose include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Coma
  • Hallucinations
  • Increase or decrease in blood pressure
  • Nausea
  • Tingling
