Librax Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Librax is used for the treatment of peptic ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, and acute enterocolitis. Librax is a combination of a benzodiazepine and an antispasmodic medication.

Librax Dosage

  • For adults, the usual starting dose is 1 or 2 capsules, and you should be taken 3 or 4 times a day before meals and at bedtime.
  • For older adults, your doctor will have you take the lowest dose that is effective.

  • Antidepressant drugs known as MAO inhibitors
  • Blood-thinning drugs such as Coumadin
  • Certain diarrhea medications
  • Ketoconazole
  • Major tranquilizers
  • Potassium supplements
