Atacand Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Candesartan belongs to the class of medicines known as angiotensin II inhibitors. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Because high blood pressure may adds the workload of the heart and arteries. So this can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, and resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure.

Atacand Dosage

  • For adults, the usual starting dose is 16 milligrams and you should be taken once daily.
  • If you are taking a diuretic or if you have kidney or liver problems, then your doctor will start you on a lower dose.
