Clozaril Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Clozapine is a psychiatric medication that works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. It decreases hallucinations and also helps to prevent suicide in people who are likely to try to harm themselves.

Clozaril Dosage

  • The usual starting dose is half of a 25-milligram tablet and you should be taken 1 or 2 times daily.
  • Safety and efficacy have not been established for children up to 16 years of age.

  • Delirium
  • Excess salivation
  • Low blood pressure
  • Faintness
  • Pneumonia
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Seizures
  • Absence of breathing
