Clarinex Medication- Uses & Side Effects

Clarinex is an antihistamine. It prevent sneezing, runny nose, itching and watering of the eyes, and other allergic symptoms. It works against the naturally occurring chemical histamine in the body. It constricts blood vessels by decreasing blood flow, it decreases congestion.

Clarinex Dosage

  • For adults and children 12 and older, the usual starting dose is 5 milligrams once a day.
  • If you have kidney or liver disease, then the usual starting dose is 5 milligrams every other day.

Uses of Clarinex

  • Clarinex is used to treat the symptoms of allergies.

Side Effects of Clarinex

Before taken Clarinex medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Clarinex. Side effects may include:

  • Fatigue
  • Sleepiness
  • Sore throat

Warnings and precautions before taking Clarinex:

Overdose
